Digital pharmaceutical care during COVID-19, experiences by a pharmacist

Proper use of medicines starts with a good explanation in the pharmacy. That is real Olympic top sport at the moment.
One of our pharmacists sees the opportunities for remote care:

“With the whole team we are balancing on the balance beam all day long. Actually, we prefer not to have people in the pharmacy right now. After all, you are not sure whether or not the patient is carrying COVID-19. For example, you would rather not give an asthma instruction. However, that is the contrary of good care provision. Every patient is entitled to proper inhalation instruction.
Digital pharmaceutical patient care can help us with this dilemma. Share text, video and animation with your patient remotely. Send a notification if necessary. Ask how your patient is doing. And texting, emailing, calling or ... talking to each other in the pharmacy, when this is really required for proper use of medicines.
