The goal of this week is to draw attention to the importance of reporting side effects. This year, there is extra focus on how patients themselves can contribute to safe medication use.

It starts with a good understanding of what the medicine is supposed to do and what it should not do, e.g. adverse events.

Adverse events are easy to report in the Netherlands at Bijwerkingencentrum Lareb.
